ODDA 31 Ryan Beatty

ODDA 31 “An Emotional Turmoil” is a journey between what you love, what you fear, pain, excitement, choices and evolution, always looking forward to what’s next.

As we prepare for 2027 and our 15 years of publishing ODDA, the Fall/Winter 2026-27 & Resort 2027 issue plays a key role in how we envisioned fashion for the last 14 years and where we plan to go from here.

Ryan Beatty has spent nearly a decade allowing each record to undo the certainty of the last. On Sweet Fortune, his fourth album, that instinct for reinvention turns inward, toward a new kind of directness. Love, movement, distance, and place become coordinates for a record that moves between bare intimacy and orchestral grandeur, while asking what becomes possible when an artist relinquishes the fear of being misunderstood.

For ODDA 31, Beatty speaks with Matt Lovsted about creative persistence, the value of wrestling with a song, writing openly about love, collaboration, curiosity and the different forms of honesty demanded by songwriting and performance.
